KSRTC package tour to cover Tiruchanur

Following good response to its package tour from Bengaluru to Tirupati-Tirumala, the KSRTC has extended the tour to include Tiruchanur Sri Padmavathi Devi temple.

According to a statement from the KSRTC, over 200 people have travelled in the package tour since it was launched on May 12. The modified package tour includes travelling in Airavat Diamond Class Bus from Bengaluru (10 pm departure), visiting Tiruchanur Sri Padmavathi Devi temple, breakfast, reaching Tirupati, travelling to Tirumala through APSRTC non-AC bus, ‘sheeghra darshan’ at Tirumala, lunch, departure from Tirupati at 2 pm and reaching Bengaluru at 10 pm. Pilgrims can book their tickets online or through KSRTC booking counters.

UITP award
The KSRTC was conferred with International Public Transport award at the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) for its organised city bus services in small and medium towns. UTIP president Masaki Ogata presented the award to KSRTC Managing Director S R Umashankar at the UITP summit in Montreal in Canada.
