<p>Belting out songs from Hindi and Kannada movies, medicos set the audience enthralled at the ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal -2010’ music concert held at the MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Hall.</p>.<p>While the event turned out to be a roaring success, the organisers arranged for two additional LCD screens outside the venue to accommodate the thronging audience.<br /><br />The concert began with Dr Natashekar holding the crowd captive by singing ‘Apaara keerthi galasi merevea bhavya naadidu’ from the Kannada movie ‘Veera Kesari’, describing the glory of Karnataka.<br /><br />Dr Hemalatha continued with the song ‘Ajeeb dastan hai yeh’, followed by a ghazal ‘Tum ko dekha to... yeh khayal aaya’ by Dr Kushalappa, who matched Jagjit Singh’s original song note to note.<br /><br />Later, a duet by Dr Natashekar and Dr Hemalatha from ‘Belli Moda’ drew huge applause from the crowd. R D Burman’s music echoed through the hall as Dr Snehashree rekindled people with the song ‘Bahon me chalen aao’. The song ‘Yeh zindagi usi ki hai’ from the movie ‘Anarkali’, drew a huge round of applause from the crowd and also appreciation with audience commenting ‘too good... too good’.<br /><br />Singer Kishore Kumar’s rather mischievous ‘Haal kaisa hai janaab ka’ was ably reproduced by Dr Natashekar and his daughter Apoorva, leaving the crowd spellbound. <br /><br />The other performers included Dr U G Shenoy, Dr M A Shekar, Dr Ganesh Rao, Dr Snehashree N, Preethi Prabhu, Sparsha Shenoy and Radhika Vishweshwara.<br /></p>
