<p>The Lokayukta court has referred a complaint about misuse of Wakf properties, involving Rahman Khan, former deputy chairperson of the Rajya Sabha and several others to the Lokayukta police. <br /><br />The others named in the complaint filed on September 1 by Syed Asifulla Khadri, an advocate, are MLA Qamarul Islam, additional commissioner for commercial taxes H S Ismatulla Khan, chairman of the Karnataka State Wakf Board (KSWB) Abdul Riyaz Khan, chief executive officer of KSWB Mujibulla Zafari, under secretary to minorities welfare department Abbas Sharief, six members of KSWB and an SDC of the district Wakf Board of Bijapur. <br /><br />It accuses them of misuse of power, mismanagement of wakf property and misappropriation of government funds. The court referred the matter to the Lokayukta SP with a direction that a report be submitted before October 20. </p>.<p><br />Khadri told Deccan Herald that Kasim Khadri Jahagirdar, the Mutavalli of Dargah Hazarat Kashim Khadri and public graveyard in Ward No 6 of Bijapur, misappropriated Rs 5 lakh and had pledged the wakf property with a co-operative bank to avail a loan Rs 2 lakh.<br />He alleged that Rahman Khan and others abetted the misdeeds and covered misappropriation by the Mutavalli. </p>.<p><br />He said the DySP of Lokayukta of Bijapur had sought sanction for prosecution from the CEO of KSW Board against the Mutavalli. </p>
