<p>Belagavi: The city Police detained leaders and activists of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti who came to Sambhaji Circle opposing the winter session of state legislature being held at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha here on Monday. </p><p>Police had made elaborate security arrangements to prevent MES from holding its Maha Melava. Activists of MES which included its Working President Manohar Kinekar and Treasurer Prakash Margale were detained from its office at Ramlingkhind Galli. </p>.Stage set for 10-day session of Karnataka state legislature in Belagavi from Monday .<p>Later, its activists who arrived in batches raising pro-Maharashtra slogans were detained at Sambhaji Circle. </p><p>Tense situation prevailed at Sambhaji Circle with MES activists coming to the centre raising slogans.</p>
