<p>A debt-ridden man poisoned his four-year-old daughter to death and later attempted suicide at Srirangapatna on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The police said Satish (34), a tailor from Ramasamudra village, Chamarajanagar, poisoned his daughter Bhavana and later consumed some pesticide on a rock in the middle of the River Cauvery near GB Gate here. <br /><br />While Bhavana died on the spot, a severely indisposed Satish was rushed to a local hospital. Passersby, who admitted him a in a hospital, also alerted the police.<br /><br />As his condition was critical, he was shifted to KR Hospital in Mysore and he is battling for his life. <br /><br />He had come to his in-laws’ house in Mysore on Saturday and had left their home around 5 am on Sunday.<br /><br /> The police said that Satish, who was earlier into shares business, had incurred heavy losses and had borrowed loans. Srirangapatna police have registered a case.<br /></p>
