<p>A minor girl was rescued from marriage by Lakkavalli police at Tarikere.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Following a complaint from child helpline, the police stopped the marriage scheduled to be held on November 11. The marriage of one Vijay from Lakkavalli was arranged with a minor girl from Shivamogga. The marriage was scheduled to be held at Sri Guru Revanasiddeshwara Mangalya Mandira in Tarikere on Sunday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On receiving the complaint, the police swung into action and summoned the minor girl’s parents to the police station and stopped the marriage.</p>
