<p>Former MP and JD(S) leader A H Vishwanath sought to know why Kannada Sahitya Parishat district unit president Y D Rajanna did not extend an invitation to him for the 83rd All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelan which was held in the city recently.</p>.<p class="bodytext">At a programme organised by District Kannada Chaluvaligarara Sangha on Sunday to mark Kannada Rajyotsava, Vishwanath said that, "I have brought out seven books and am identified in the field of literature. I also served as Kannada and Culture minister but in spite of all these, the organisers did not extend an invitation to me."</p>.<p class="bodytext">In his reply, Rajanna said that Vishwanath had participated in sessions in the Sammelan held at Raichur. "We provide an opportunity to a person only once in three years," Rajanna said.</p>
