On December 26, an eucalyptus tree from a lorry laden with logs, fell on Venkatesh injuring him badly. He was rushed to the town hospital but was soon shifted to a private hospital in Bangalore for further treatment. However, he succumbed to injuries on Wednesday. Police have registered the case.
Fatal fall
Ramakka (65), wife of Papanna Shetty of Boodikote died as she slipped into an open well at Boodikote on Wednesday. Town police have registered the case.
