<p>Belagavi: The state government has proposed recruitment to 1,600 vacant posts of police sub-inspectors (PSI), Home Minister G Parameshwara said in the Assembly on Tuesday.</p>.<p>"The proposal has been sent to the finance department,” he said. Parameshwara said recruitment was stalled due to irregularities in the process of hiring 545 PSIs. </p><p>"At present, we’ve filled up 947 PSI posts and the selected candidates are undergoing training,” he added.</p>
