H D Kumarswamy had won with 97000 lead in a triangular fight in the Channapatna assembly election. After the coalition of BJP-JD(S), their votes had increased by 10,000 in the assembly election. But wonder how it was reduced by 85,000 in the by election. Not a single vote of BJP has gone to JD(S). BJP leaders had intentionally fielded Nikhil and had voted for Congress. BJP has indirectly helped C P Yogeshwar. So let them do JD(S) convention. We don't want an opposition party like the JD(S) party to perish. It has its own history."</p>
