Sand crisis: Control room at DC office

The Dakshina Kannada district administration has set up a control room to ensure that there is no sand crisis for development works in the district.

Permits have been issued for extracting sand in identified sand bars in CRZ and non-CRZ areas. If people face any problem in availing sand, then they can bring it to the notice of the control room at 0824-2421610 by furnishing details on the required quantity of sand, construction site and mobilephone phone number.
