<p>JD(S) leader H D Revanna on Monday urged the State government to send a report to the Centre on the State's drought situation, seeking adequate financial assistance to cope with it.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters, he alleged that though several parts of the State are witnessing severe dry condition, the State government has not taken steps to declare them drought-affected. <br /><br />Alleging that the government has politicised the issue, he said only those places represented by the Congress MLAs are being declared drought-hit and others are ignored.<br /><br />He said the government should prevail upon the Centre to immediately send a team to inspect the drought-affected places in the State. The government should ensure supply of water and fodder in several drought-hit taluks that are facing acute drinking water crisis, he said. </p>
