Prior to the ritual, the seer along with large number of devotees visited Sri Chandramouleeshwara and Sri Anantheshwara temple and Sri Krishna temples and offered prayers.

The firewood was also taken in a procession around the Car Street for arranging it in an artistic manner like a chariot near the Madhwa sarovara.

Prior to Kattige Muhurtha, the Seer had already performed other two muhurtha. They are ‘bale muhurtha’ and ‘Akki muhurtha.’

Speaking to media persons, he said that he will make arrangement to provide food at the temple to devotees and pilgrims from 12 noon to midnight. Only vegetables grown with the use of organic manure will be used for cooking at the temple, he said.

He said that during his first term of Paryaya held from 1972-74, he had offered several decorative silver ornaments weighing 250 kgs to the presiding deity Lord Sri Krishna, while during his second term from 1986-88, he had dedicated golden chariot.

During his third term, he would give emphasis to the cleanliness and tasty food at the temple, he added.
