Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday left for pilgrimage place of Tirupati along with his family members for darshan of Lord Venkateshwara.
He left Bengaluru at 7 pm in a special flight. He along with his family is scheduled to have darshan on Tuesday morning. PWD Minister H C Mahadevappa is also accompanying Siddaramaiah’s family. Later, he is scheduled to go to Vijayapura on Tuesday to attend a convention of Ganigas.
Siddaramaiah’s visit to Tirupathi has come as surprise to many as he had always projected himself as a rationalist. His visit has come at a time when he is under attack from the opposition parties over the issue of denotification of land at BDA’s Arkavathi Layout.
