<p>The NGO from Sri Lanka had visited some gram panchayats in Kundapur taluk and collected details on Makkala panchayat, response to the problems faced by the children, and working style of makkala panchayat. <br /><br />The members of various makkala panchayat met at Hangalur Gram Panchayat and interacted with the delegates from Sri Lanka. <br /><br />They interacted with Grama Sabha members on children’s rights and how elders find solution to the problem. <br /><br />The Srilankan team convener Champa said “Makkala panchayat helps in strengthening the process of democracy.”<br /><br />“ The experiences will help us to work for children in our country,” she added. Taluk Panchayat President Jyothi V Puthran, In charge EO Gopal Shetty, and Gram Panchayat members, Child welfare Committee (CWC) members Venkatesh, Arunachala, Jayashekar Madappadi and others were present on the occasion.</p>
