Chikkodi educational district stands at the 26th place.</p><p>In Belagavi, out of the 31,503 students who appeared for the examination, 19,583 cleared. The pass percentage is 62.16. In Chikkodi, out of the 42,366 students who appeared, 26,317 cleared and the pass percentage is 62.12.</p><p>Belagavi climbed four ranks up in the state, but the passing percentage has fallen. Chikkodi came down by one rank. Here too, the passing percentage has come down. The district has been known as an educational hub, but the performance of the students in SSLC examinations continues to remain abysmal.</p><p>In 2023-24, Chikkodi secured the 25th place with a pass percentage of 69.82. Belagavi secured the 29th place with a pass percentage of 64.93.</p><p>In Chikkodi, out of the 44,812 students who had appeared for the examination, 31,288 had passed. In Belagavi, out of the 33,434 students who had appeared for the examination, 21,710 had passed.</p><p>Roopa Chanagouda Patil, a student of Government High School from Devlapur village in Bailhongal taluk, is among the toppers in the state by scoring 625 marks. Nidhi Nandkumar Kangralkar, a student of Saint Joseph Convent High School in Belagavi is among the second rankholders. She scored 624 marks of 625 marks.</p><p>Deputy Director of Public Instructions, Belagavi Leelavati Hiremath said, Belagavi educational district has improved ranking in the SSLC examination, but the passing percentage has fallen by 2%. “We had taken all measures to improve SSLC results and the efforts will continue”, she said.</p><p>Deputy Director of Public Instructions, Chikkodi S R Seetaramu said, “Chikkodi educational district results have fallen by one rank. Measures taken to improve results did not succeed. From the academic year 2025-26, we shall begin preparing students for SSLC examinations from the ninth standard itself”, he added.</p>
