Suzlon Infrastructure Unit in Padubidri has temporarily stopped functioning and suspended its activities from July 1, 2018.
The company is providing spare parts to the Pavan Electricals Company which is functioning at Padubidri.
The demand for market for the spare parts has reduced and the company has decided to reduce the production.
The employees were given two months’ wages and are sent home.
The reasons given by the company was the yearly maintenance and bidding is not carried out due to the Legislative Assembly election. The company would start functioning in August.
In November 2017, the company had announced a lock out for one-and-a-half months.
