A tiger has killed a cow in Maitikadu in Kolakeri village in Napoklu Gram Panchayat, on Wednesday.
M H Ibrahim had tied his cow near Kakkabbe stream, in the early morning. Later, he had been to Mangaluru for work. The tiger had killed the cow and consumed it’s flesh as well, at around 9 am.
The incident has created fear among people in the region.
RFO Suresh and other forest personnel as well as Napoklu Gram Panchayat vice-president Khureshi and Panchayat Development Officer Chondakki visited the spot.
Napoklu Gram Panchayat member K U Ashraf and others have urged the forest department to capture the tiger.
