Villagers complain of 'gas leak' from CNG unit in Kudluru, stage protest

Kushalnagar: Villagers staged a protest on Wednesday by laying siege to a private CNG unit in the Kudluru industrial area of the taluk, alleging gas leak from the newly started facility.

Following complaints from residents that a gas leak on Tuesday evening had spread to surrounding areas causing discomfort, villagers confronted the staff.

Tahsildar Kiran Gowrayya visited the site to inspect the situation and gathered information from the unit's staff. He listened to the villagers' grievances and assured them that the issue would be brought to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner for appropriate action.

Kudumangalore Gram Panchayat President Bhaskar Nayak, members Manjunath, Manikantha, Bhogappa, Chandru, Panchayat Development Officer Santosh and others were present.
