CPI District Secretary H M Renukaradhya alleged that at least 10 to 15 voters names have been dropped from the electoral list in each part of the constituency. Already a complaint has been submitted to Election Commission of India and the deputy commissioner in this regard.

Speaking to reporters, he said the number of voters whose names have been dropped from the voters' list is highest in Chikkamagaluru Assembly segment. The names have been dropped without any valid reason. The officials have not carried out the process effectively.

The deputy commissioner should initiate strict action against those who committed the mistake, he demanded.

In Shiravase, part 56 Gram Panchayat former member and CPI leader Danu's name has been dropped. Majority of the names belonging to CPI and Congress workers have been dropped, he alleged.
