<p>The Karnataka High Court has set aside the interim order staying the suspension of Visvesvaraya Technological University’s (VTU) Registrar H N Jagannatha Reddy who is alleged to have been involved in financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 200 crore.</p>.<p>Prof Reddy was suspended on February 15 after an enquiry committee probed his role in connection with the alleged financial irregularities.</p>.<p>A single bench had stayed his suspension order as well as the charge sheet framed against him.</p>.<p>Dr S Vishwanath and Dr Vasudev Murthy, parents of two VTU students, had written to the governor-chancellor of the university alleging that Prof Reddy was involved in financial irregularities at the university last year.</p>.<p>Based on the complaints, the governor had instructed the vice chancellor to conduct an inquiry. Vice chancellor Karisiddappa had formed an enquiry committee headed by retired judge D S Shindhe in January. </p>.<p>Following the committee report, the the vice chancellor had suspended the registrar.</p>
