Karnataka: Woman delivers at govt hospital, dies 3 days later at pvt hospital

Chikkamagaluru: A woman, who had given birth to a baby boy at a government hospital, passed away at a private hospital three days later.

Savita, 36, wife of Praveen Kumar from Shankarapura, gave birth to a baby boy three days ago. She reportedly died after being shifted to a private hospital due to heart complications.

“Three days ago, she delivered a baby. She was shifted to a private hospital after experiencing heart issues. She passed away on Tuesday night,” said district surgeon Dr Mohan Kumar. “The deputy commissioner has ordered an inquiry into the incident. A detailed investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the her death and a report will be submitted,” he added.
