<p>Belur, Hassan district: A 45-year-old woman labourer was killed in a wild jumbo attack at Ankihalli in Belur taluk of Hassan district, on Friday.</p>.<p>Chandramma (45) of Gajendrapura of Belur taluk is the deceased. She was on her way to work, when the elephant attacked her.</p>.<p>Around 12 women labourers were on their way to work, when a herd of five wild jumbos attacked them. </p>.Three killed by two wild elephants in Boehari forest in MP's Shahdol.<p>All the women ran helter-skelter to save their lives. But, a jumbo caught hold of Chandramma with its trunk, flung her and trampled her. She died on the spot. </p>.<p>Forest and Police department personnel visited the spot.</p>.<p>The wild jumbo menace is on the rise in the Malnad region and most of man-animal conflict victims are labourers, the locals complained.</p>.<p>They staged a protest alleging that the forest department had not been taking steps to relocate wild jumbos despite repeated appeals.</p>
