"The Kavi Subhas-bound train, which started from Dum Dum station, reached Belgachia station and got stranded due to a technical snag," Metro Railway chief spokesperson Pratyush Ghosh told IANS.
"The emergency brake got stuck with the wheels of the newly-inducted air-conditioned metro rake," he added. Ghosh said smoke emitted from beneath the rake. The empty rake was later taken to a car-shed at Tollygunge for checking.
