In a letter to MPHRC, Vijay Gyanchand has asked to search a match for him.

"We have forwarded Gyanchand's letter to the MPHRC office based in Bhopal," Indore Central Jail Superintendent Purshottam Somkunwar told PTI. He said that Gyanchand was in the jail since a long time and his term was coming to an end in two years.

In his letter, Gyanchand has said that he could not marry because his family condition was not good. "I am 35-year-old and if I don't get married now, no girl will marry me," he said.

"I want to live a happy married life after my release from the jail. I want to command respect in the society," the letter said.

"We want that Gyanchand's wish should be accomplished," Somkunwar said.

"The NGOs should come forward and help him in entering into wedlock, so that he lives like a commoner after his release from the jail," he said.
