<p>Raisen (MP): A leopard died after allegedly being hit by a train on the Bhopal-Delhi railway route in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district, a forest official said on Friday.</p>.<p>The incident occurred in the Bhadbhada forest of the Samardha range area near Dewanganj, 30 km from the district headquarters, he said.</p>.<p>Samardha range forest officer Shivpal Piparde said he received information about the leopard carcass lying near the railway track in the morning, and a forest team rushed to the site.</p>.Leopard dies in accident, efforts are on to trace the vehicle.<p>The leopard was about two years old, he said.</p>.<p>The official said that there is also a possibility that the leopard had been roaming in the area for the last few months, preying on cattle.</p>.<p>Earlier, a leopard attacked and seriously injured a farmer, who was saved by his pet dog, and this big cat could be the same one, he said.</p>.<p>"We are investigating all the aspects and checking the CCTV footage installed in the forest area," the official said, adding that the carcass will be sent to Bhopal for autopsy. </p>
