<p>Mumbai: Anti-Terrorism Squad has joined the <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/maharashtra">Maharashtra </a>Police in investigating the bomb blast which took place in a mosque in Beed district.</p><p>Two suspects, Vijay Rama Gavhane (22) and Sriram Ashok Sagde (24), have been arrested and remanded to police custody.</p><p>The investigators are focusing on how the duo had sourced gelatin sticks and what was the exact motive..</p><p>However, it is to be noted the duo are engaged in the work of digging wells. </p> .<p>The blast was reported in the wee hours of Sunday from the Mecca Mosque, located near Sayyad Badshah Dargah, in the Ardhmasla village in the Georai tehsil of Beed district, nearly 450 km away from Mumbai. </p><p>No casualties were reported, however, the mosque had sustained damage. </p> .<p>A case has been filed at Talwada police station under sections 298, 299, 196, 326(g), 351(2), 351(3), 352, 61(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908.</p><p>Beed MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar and Georai Vijaysingh Pandit visited the mosque and asked people to be calm. </p><p>“I condemn the incident,” said Kshirsagar, a NCP (SP) MLA. </p><p>“Some miscreants are deliberately trying to create a rift between the two communities. I am sure that their efforts will never be successful. Let us all together condemn such anti-social acts and strive to maintain social harmony,” said Pandit, an MLA from NCP.</p><p>According to reports, at the Sayyad Badshah’s Urus celebration on Saturday evening, there was an argument with the two suspects, who were under the influence of alcohol. </p><p>After midnight, they entered the mosque, placed the gelatine sticks and triggered the bomb. </p>
