Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Manipur on Saturday, marking his first visit since the conflict involving the Meitei and Kuki communities erupted two years ago and led to the deaths of 259 people. Modi met with representatives of those displaced by the conflict and addressed public meetings: first in the Kuki-dominated Churachandpur and later in the Meitei-dominated state capital Imphal.
