The discovery of Aamir Khan will make his debut as a scribe covering the ongoing Bihar elections. Natha, who was a labourer before joining the world of arc lights and grease paints, said in Patna that he would move around different constituencies like an “aam admi” (common man) and interact with the electorate like an ordinary citizen.

“I will highlight their problems through the news channel and bring it to the notice of the elected representatives and policy-makers,” said Natha, who has studied only up to Class V. Natha, whose original name is Onkar Das Manikpuri, said he chose the profession since he was fully aware of poverty.

“Nobody knows better than me what sufferings a poor man undergoes. I am happy that the news channel has selected me to highlight the problems of poor, and help ameliorate their condition,” said the main protagonist of “Peepli Live”.
