<p>The Pakistan Parliament on Thursday unanimously passed resolutions condemning remarks made by the Indian political leadership calling it “irresponsible and imprudent” and added that the statements reflected India’s “hegemonic mindset”. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Islamabad also reacted to New Delhi’s not-so-subtle indications that the Army’s recent raid inside Myanmar, targeting camps of insurgents operating in the North-East, was also a message to Pakistan.<br /><br />The resolution stated that the Pakistani armed forces are fully capable of protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity and would give a “befitting response” to any threat from India. It further stated that Islamabad would never allow “any country to violate its territory under any pretext”. <br /><br />New Delhi has since long been accusing Islamabad of supporting anti-India terrorist outfits and providing them sanctuaries in Pakistan.<br /><br />“The entire nation is dismayed by the recent irresponsible and I must say imprudent statements from the Indian political leadership. This vitiates the atmosphere and takes us further away from our goal of regional peace and stability. We will protect our vital interests at all costs,” Pakistan Prime Minister M Nawaz Sharif told a conference of envoys in Islamabad. <br /><br />Sharif was referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks made at Dhaka University recently accusing Pakistan of disturbing India “every now and then” and creating “nuisance and promoting terrorism.”<br /><br />New Delhi, however, was not surprised by the reactions from Islamabad and pointed out that India’s willingness to send its troops across the border to eliminate insurgents and terrorists, as demonstrated by the Army’s offensive inside Myanmar, apparently rattled Pakistan. “I am going into the aspect of creating a different mindset. So much so that those who fear India’s new posture have already started reacting,” said Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.<br /><br />“If the thinking pattern changes, a lot of things change...you are seeing it for the last two-three days.
