<p>The Supreme Court on Thursday sought a reply from the Centre on a fresh plea made by a farmers’ organisation challenging the decision to re-promulgate the land acquisition ordinance.<br /><br />A bench of Justices J S Khehar and Adarsh Kumar Goel gave four weeks time to the government to file its response on the petition filed by Delhi Gramin Samaj. </p>.<p>Additional Solicitor General Pinky Anand accepted the notice on behalf of the government. She also sought further time for responding to a similar plea made by a group of farmers union earlier in April.</p>
