According to local media reports, he was a BTech and was associated with the Hizbul outfit. He had joined militant ranks three years ago.</div><div> </div><div>Sources said two other militants who were trapped in the cordon managed to flee from the encounter site. The operation was called off later in the evening.</div><div> </div><div>There was another encounter in Laam village of Tral after militants fired upon a search party of security forces. The search operation was called off later.
