<p>Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after jumping from a moving MMTS train to escape a sexual assault attempt. The incident occurred near Kompally on Sunday evening and came to light on Tuesday.</p><p>According to Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP), the woman, a native of Anantapur district, works at a private company in Medchal. She had traveled to Secunderabad to get her mobile phone repaired and later boarded an MMTS train to return to Medchal.</p><p>The woman had entered the designated women's coach of the train. Two other female passengers who were in the same coach disembarked at Alwal station. Her condition is reported to be serious but stable.</p><p>Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspect. He also promised to bring the matter to the government’s attention and ensure strict action against the culprits.</p><p>Following the family's request, he assured them that the young woman would be shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad for better treatment. Later, Bandi Sanjay called BJP Mahila Morcha State President Dr. Shilpa Reddy and instructed her to immediately facilitate the victim’s transfer to Yashoda Hospital for advanced medical care.</p><p>Acting on his directions, Dr. Shilpa Reddy rushed to Gandhi Hospital and made arrangements to shift the victim to Yashoda Hospital. She also discussed the matter with the doctors at Gandhi Hospital.</p>
