Responding to the incident, PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Gowd stated that they were unaware that Reddy was at Gandhi Bhawan to meet Deepa Das Munshi, but he spoke with him over the phone. </p><p>Chandrasekhar Reddy had previously sought a Congress ticket to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from one of the parliamentary segments.</p>
