<p>New Delhi: The world must have zero tolerance to terrorism, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday told the British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who stressed that nobody would win in the event of an escalation in the conflict between India and Pakistan.</p> <p>Jaishankar also conveyed the same message to Russia and the European Union.</p> <p>“Had a phone call with UK Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy this afternoon. Our discussions centred around countering terrorism, for which there must be zero tolerance,” the external affairs minister posted on X.</p>. <p>“Tensions between India and Pakistan remain a serious concern,” Lammy wrote on X, after speaking to Jaishankar in New Delhi and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad. “I’ve continued to push for a path forward through diplomacy, not conflict. I thank those who have expressed solidarity with us and understand the resolute response underway,” he said.</p> <p>He also took part in the Europe Day celebration in New Delhi.</p> <p>“We are gathered today at a time when India is firmly confronting the challenge of terrorism. We believe that this is a shared threat for which there must be zero tolerance. I thank all those who have expressed solidarity with us and recognise the need for a resolute response,” he said. </p>
