<p>New Delhi: With the conflict between Iran and Israel escalating, India is set to expand its ‘Operation Sindhu’ and evacuate its citizens living, studying or working in the Jewish country in West Asia, even as it is continuing to facilitate the return of its people from the Persian Gulf Islamic Republic.</p><p>New Delhi decided to evacuate citizens of India from Israel who wished to come back home. </p><p>“Their travel from Israel to India will be facilitated through the land borders and thereafter by air to India,” the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi stated, adding that the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv would be making arrangements for the evacuation of Indians. All Indian nationals are requested to register themselves with the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv.”</p><p>‘</p> .<p>Sources in New Delhi said that the first batch of Indian citizens evacuated from Israel might be airlifted soon after they would cross over to Egypt.</p><p>New Delhi’s diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv also reiterated its earlier advisories urging all Indian citizens in Israel to remain vigilant and strictly follow the safety guidelines issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command.</p><p> Meanwhile, the 110 Indian students, who had been evacuated by the Embassy of India in Tehran and crossed over to Armenia through the Iran-Armenia border, flew from Yerevan to New Delhi early on Thursday.</p> .<p>Another group of Indians have been moved from Qom to Mashhad for evacuation through the Iran-Turkmenistan border. They are likely to be airlifted once they cross over to Turkmenistan.</p><p> Nearly 10000 citizens of India are currently living in Iran. Israel has around 26000 Indians.</p>
