<p>People travelling on Hyderabad's PV Narsimha Rao Expressway were in for a rude shock as they witnessed a drunk man riding a camel in the dark hours of the night.</p><p>In an incident that went viral on social media, a person in an inebriated condition was seen riding a camel. </p><p>An Instagram post shared by a user called Ikram Ullah Shah, who himself stepped on to the scene to stop the carnage, showed the man loosely holding onto the reins while the camel raced across the highway. </p>.<p>"While the public just stood by and watched, by Allah’s grace I stepped in and managed to stop it. It’s sad that people only watched like it was a show — but I’m grateful that Allah chose me to act when it mattered," said Shah while narrating the incident in an Instagram post. </p><p>In the video, Shah is seen driving his his car parallel to the rider as he shouted at him to stop. He even went to the extent of throwing water at the rider which led to the camel sliding. </p><p>As the animal continued on the highway, Shah warned other drivers on the road not to get too close.</p><p>After a long struggle, Shah and his friend were able to slow down the animal and tie it to a nearby street light as its handler hung from its back. </p><p>Shah received plaudits on social media for his acts of bravery.</p>
