<p>Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh: A 63-year-old childless widow was killed allegedly by her nephews over a land dispute in <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/uttar-pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</a>'s Kaushambi, police said on Monday.</p>.<p>The victim, Savitri Devi, a resident of the Mohiuddinpur village and the wife of late Man Singh Yadav, was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by her nephews — Ram Prakash alias Nanhe and Om Prakash alias Babli -- sons of her deceased brother-in-law Amar Singh on Sunday night.</p>.<p>The accused allegedly struck her on the face with sharp-edged weapons, killing her on the spot.</p>.<p>The alleged incident occurred over a dispute related to agricultural land, police said.</p>.2 minors kill man by slitting his throat, steal his iPhone to create 'high-quality reels' in Uttar Pradesh.<p>Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh said that Savitri Devi was childless and had earlier transferred some part of her land to Ram Prakash and Om Prakash.</p>.<p>However, she still owned about three bighas of land, which the nephews allegedly wanted to get registered in their names as well.</p>.<p>“Savitri Devi was unwilling to give the remaining land, and this refusal appears to have led to the brutal attack,” the officer said.</p>.<p>“The two accused are absconding and police teams are conducting raids to arrest them,” he added.</p>.<p>The body has been sent for postmortem and a detailed probe is on in the matter, police said. </p>
