IPL 2020 Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Capitals highlights: KXIP win by 5 wickets

Kings XI Punjab's amazing revival in the season continues. In their last three matches they have fetched points against the top-3 sides i.e. RCB, MI and DC in that order. From the bottom of the points table they have jumped to fifth in the league standing. But they still can't take things lightly. They need to keep winning to qualify for the playoffs. Tonight's loss won't affect DC's chances much but it gives DC something to think about and iron out their short comings.

Tomorrow is a big game. Third placed Royal Challengers Bangalore take on fouth placed Kolkata Knight Riders. The winner of that match inches that much closer for the play off spot.

I took the responibility of holding one end up and was also hitting the boundaries when I got the chance. On my Test debut I remember I was scoring this frequently. I couldn't sleep after the last game. We could have finished it before and not allowed it to go into the super over. The game reminds us to stay humble. Shikhar's batting was a positive. Tushar leaked runs but that happens to the best of us. I'm sure he will come back. Shikhar read the wicket well, adapted to the situation, he went hard from Ball 1, and passed the message onto the youngsters that the wicket is stopping. He acclimatised to the conditions quicker the others. The good thing is that the boys will be charged up for the next game. We weren't upto the mark tonight, but I'm sure we will be next time.

. DC Strengths : The main bowlers have been exceptional. Captain Shreyas Iyer hasn't needed wickets from fifth bowler Marcus Stoinis. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have together got 31 wickets. They've got great support from Axar Patel and R Ashwin. Among bowlers who've played eight or more matches, Patel has the second-best economy rate.

. KXIP Threats: Two excellent performances have lifted the team's morale. However, every single match remains a must-win clash. One loss would be enough to end their season.

. KXIP Opportunities: KXIP have made a remarkable turnaround and reached sixth place in the table. They are only four points away from the team in fourth place. Can they continue their improbable comeback?
