Kumaraswamy is a paper tiger: C T Ravi

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is a paper tiger when it comes to waiving loans borrowed by farmers from nationalised banks, said MLA C T Ravi.

Speaking to reporters here, on Sunday, he said, “The state government has not issued any circular on waiving the loans borrowed by farmers from nationalised banks. However, the chief minister has been issuing statements to the media on waiving the loans borrowed from banks, The statements will not benefit the farmers. I will raise the issue in the forthcoming Assembly session.”

“Will the banks keep quiet if the loans are not repaid. They will serve notices to farmers. The state government through the chief secretary should issue a circular to all the nationalised banks on repayment of farmers loans by the state government,” he added.
