Limited edition watch featuring Ram Janmabhoomi hits market with whopping Rs 34 lakhs price tag

Swiss watchmaker Jacob & Co, renowned for unique design, has launched limited edition Ram Janmabhoomi watch.

Created in collaboration with Indian retailed Ethos Watches, these timepieces are based on Epic X Skeleton series and pay homage to Ayodhya and Lord Ram, encapsulating artistry in a 44mm rose gold case.

Priced at Rs 34 lakhs, these watches redefine exclusivity, offering collectors a chance to own a masterpiece that blends horology with profound cultural significance.

The Edition 2 highlights a more assertive visualisation of Lord Ram, coupled with an equally tranquil depiction of Lord Hanuman.

Key features

This limited-edition watch features intricate engravings on the case, showcasing elements tied to the Ram Janmabhoomi and its significance in Indian history. The dial is meticulously engraved with a detailed relief of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, symbolising the historical importance of the location.

It also has a bright orange rubber strap with a hexagonal honeycomb pattern, symbolizing spirituality, prayer and purity and resonates with the values of Hinduism. Additionally, there are inscriptions of Hindu Gods on the dial and the bezel that further highlight the connection to this landmark, blending historical reverence with the modern appeal of the Epic X collection.

The Ram Mandir adorns the left bridge, and the orange minute ring features the revered inscription “Jai Shri Ram" in the Edition 1.

While edition 1 offers  portrayal of Lord Ram with his bow and arrow, alongside a depiction of Lord Hanuman, symbolising devotion, the Edition 2 highlights a more assertive visualisation of Lord Ram, coupled with an equally tranquil depiction of Lord Hanuman.

Thirty-five out of the 49 exclusive watches that were manufactured have already been sold.
