This chase never looked like it would happen. The pitch was super slow, the target was stiff and the only person who could make a meal of it was Kane Williamson. He was run out in the most unfortunate way, and then Ross Taylor gifted his wicket to the English to seal the game then and there.
Latham and Neesham put on a 50-run stand but the latter was taken out by home hero, Mark Wood. The rest of the batting hung around a bit before eventually folding 5 overs before the designated number.
Ah Kiwis, what can you say? They have surrendered meekly three times in a row now, and this poses serious problems for Williamson & co. The openers are horribly out of touch, in fact pretty much everyone other than the skipper is unable to buy a few runs. Tom Latham encouragingly found some form on a difficult pitch today.
But there is nothing to worry about for England. Their openers are fit and running, look as dashing as ever, their bowlers' performance have been clinical these past two games. The only concern will be the somewhat dodgy form of Adil Rashid.
Do join us tomorrow when Afghanistan take on West Indies, with both teams playing for pride, looking to sign off their campaigns with a victory. See you then!
