Over 12.79 crore people in nine states will decide the fate of 961 candidates in the fourth phase of polling in 71 Lok Sabha constituencies.The fourth phase will witness some interesting contests. CPI's rising star Kanhaiya Kumar is taking on Union Minister Giriraj Singh in Bihar's Begusarai, while Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh is expecting a 'son rise' as Chief Minister Kamal Nath's son Nakul is in the fray.In 2014, the BJP had won 45 out of the 71 seats and its allies won another 11, leaving just 15 to Opposition parties. Sporadic violence in fourth phase polling in Bengal
Sporadic violence marred the fouth phase of polling in West Bengal with clashes taking place between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP mainly in Asansol and Birhum Lok Sabha constituencies. The polling percentage stood at 76.59 at 7 pm.
