'It's a pleasure to work with Upendra'

Last Updated 26 July 2013, 13:21 IST

Looks like the fans of ‘Real Star’ Upendra have to wait longer for his directorial venture as he has his hands full with projects.

He will be acting in Brahma and in a film directed by Srinivas Raju, which has been under the scanner for its title and controversial poster.

He will also be seen working under actor-director Ramesh Aravind.

That’s not all.

The actor-director is said to have signed one more film. Upendra has given dates to producer K Manju, who has been lying low of late.

The jodi, which has been a hit one since ‘Godfather’, will definitely raise expectations.
Nothing much has been revealed about the yet-to-be-titled film. Confirming the news, Manju says that he is looking forward to starting the project with Upendra and he has a fantastic script to back the project.

“It’s always a pleasure to work with Upendra. He really brings a whole new element to films. For this movie, we have roped in Uppi’s long time friend and associate director Lokesh, who had earlier directed Upendra in ‘H2O’ along with Rajaram,” he adds.

Manju has even roped in V Harikrishna and HC Venu as the cinematographer. “We are now on the look out for the leading lady. And we also plan to shoot part of the movie in Malaysia. Soon we will officially launch the film,” he says.

Manju also plans to start another film with ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh and has also bought the remake rights for a couple of films including a Telugu film called Puli.

“The rights that I have bought are of really good films and I want them to be told in Kannada as well. We will be changing the screenplay to give it a local flavour,” he adds.

Looks like there’s a lot one can expect from the duo.
