In the world of cricket and movies anything can happen, you win some and you lose some, said model-turned-actor Katrina Kaif, who was in the City to meet the fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore. While the Royal Challengers were battling it out with the Mumbai Indians on Sunday in South Africa, Katrina was more than happy to lend her support to the team by being with the fans in India, who couldn’t catch the action live. “I know I can go to South Africa anytime I want and be with the team, but there are so many fans out here who cannot go, so I decided to be here as I got an opportunity to interact with the fans,” said Katrina.

Nevertheless, the actress misses being with the team and cheering them from the stands in India like last year. “Nothing can substitute the energy of a live match and I wish we could have held it here in India. I would have liked to meet Kevin Pieterson but I still feel it is a sweeter idea to be here with the fans,” said the actress who has not missed a match since Day One of the series. “The credit goes to Akshay Kumar. He is so passionate about the game that he made sure when we went to Singapore to shoot for a film called De Dana Dan, the hotel screened IPL matches,” said Katrina while adding, “In fact, all that I know about cricket is because of him. While watching the match he keeps explaining the rules and conditions which is very informative.”

But Akshay being a brand ambassador of Delhi Daredevils and she of RCB, were there any clashes while watching? “Akshay is a supporter of good cricket so there were no clashes, he supports whoever is playing well,” she clarified.

Keeping her fingers crossed for the season, Katrina spoke about her favourite player in the team. “It is Rahul Dravid all the way. He is a real gentleman and a great player but having said that I must say I haven't spoken more than two words to him,” she laughs.
