"I don't want to comment on any uncivilised comment. That is my stated position. I have never done it. This kind of comment shows the individual tastes of the person," Mukherjee told reporters here.
Achuthanandan Sunday hit out at Gandhi's comment on his age by calling him an "Amul baby".
"The Amul baby has come here to campaign for some Amul baby candidates of the Congress party," he said.
Gandhi, at an election meeting in Kerala Saturday, pointed out that if the Left came back to power in the assembly elections, then at the end of its five-year term, the state would have a 93-year-old chief minister. Achuthanandan is 87 years old.
The assembly polls will be held Wednesday and the results will be declared May 13.
