At a time when scientists across the world are struggling to contain the spread of coronavirus, a BJP MLA in Assam on Monday claimed that cow dung mixed with herbs can kill the virus.

“Cow dung has immense benefits. In ancient times, our saints used to clean the air and kill the germs by burning cow dung mixed with herbs. I think cow dung can destroy the coronavirus too,” Suman Haripriya said while talking on the topic of cattle smuggling, during the ongoing Budget Session of Assam Assembly.

The MLA from Hajo constituency is also a filmmaker.

She further claimed that cow urine could be used to cure cancer. “One ayurvedic hospital in Gujarat is keeping the cancer patients with the cows. Cow urine is very useful and this can soon be a cure for cancer,” she claimed.
