Questioning the Centre’s decision to hold an all party meeting after the death of 49 CRPF jawans in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she is doubtful that there may be some game plan about it. She also described the all party meeting as “Parliamentary party meeting.” She was speaking to reporters after returning to Kolkata from Delhi on Friday.

“I don’t understand why they have called for this Parliamentary party meeting now because the Lok Sabha is over. They are giving vote of thanks to the Speaker and the Prime Minister. But when they are calling Parliamentary party meetings instead of meeting of political parties my doubt is there may be some game plan,” said Banerjee.

She further alleged that intelligence failure took place in elation to the incident and asked what was the National; Security Adviser(NSA) Ajit Doval doing.

“Then there is intelligence failure. I spoke to a lot of people including relatives of jawans. They said there was total intelligence failure in this case. Why so many vehicles were moving together. What is the NSA doing? We have the right to know,” said Banerjee.

The Chief Minister also criticised the Centre for not declaring three-day national mourning for the deceased jawans.

“Why did not they declare three-day mourning. Only when political leaders die they declare mourning. I demand 72 hours mourning for the soldiers,’ said Banerjee. She also said that no one should indulge in politics over the incident.

Banerjee also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating government projects during the day.

“Even today I am sorry to say the Prime Minister inaugurated one rail project from his home. If such a serious incident happens then we should avoid political and programmes.
