<p class="title rtejustify">The Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board (MPMB) has asked 2,700 madrassas affiliated to it to organise "Paigam-e-Mohabbat" (message of love) processions this Independence Day.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">"Madrassas have been asked to take out these processions in 50 out of 51 districts on Independence Day," board chairman Syed Imad Uddin said.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The initiative is aimed at encouraging interfaith mingling, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">He has issued a directive that madrassas should hoist the national flag and merge the "Paigam-e-Mohabbat" rallies taken out by various organisations on August 15, Uddin said.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">If no such rallies are planned, then madrassas should take out their own Paigam-e-Mohabbat processions in their respective areas, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">In Bhopal, the processions would be called "Paigam-e-Aman" (message of peace) as another organisation has named its rally 'Paigam-e-Mohabbhat', he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Madrassas have also been asked to hold cultural programmes that day and send videos of the events which the MPMB will upload on its website, the chairman said.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Such functions are being organised by madrassas affiliated to the board for the past three years, he added.</p>
