KCR invites Modi to inaugurate Hyderabad Metro

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project here. The PM will be visiting the city to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit on November 28.

Rao, in his letter, stated that the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project is going to be the prestigious and biggest public transport project in Hyderabad. The metro, a Rs 15000 Crore project is the biggest of this kind in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in the country. 

The government release added that the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project has three corridors for the total 72 Km stretch. In the first phase, rail from Miyapur to Ameerpet (13 Km) and Ameerpet to Nagole (17 Km) has been completed. The trial was successful and all permissions required for safety is obtained, it read.
